Tropical Storm Hanna has passed through the Triangle and Duke officials report the campus suffered no majorĀ  damage. Tonight’s football game between Duke and Northwestern will proceed as planned, and other campus activities are generally on schedule as well.

The Duke Marine Lab has implemented its evacuation plan for undergraduate students, who will leave Beaufort by 12:30 p.m. today. Housing has been provided for them on the Durham campus. Duke officials said Thursday that current plans are for Saturday’s football game to begin at 7 p.m., as scheduled. Duke will play Northwestern University in Wallace Wade Stadium. Duke officials are continuing to track Hurricane Hanna and, as needed, will announce updates about the football game and other campus activities.

Duke officials are closely monitoring the forecast and projected path of Hurricane Hanna. Current forecasts indicate that the storm may make landfall in South Carolina near the North Carolina border early Saturday before moving through the Triangle area.
