A winter weather advisory remains in effect, with a cold weather advisory in place through 9 a.m. Monday.
Wind chills are expected to drop near zero and into the single digits overnight, and refreezing of any melt Sunday could lead to areas of black ice across central North Carolina. Snow accumulations will remain in place, and hazardous travel conditions are expected to persist, particularly as cold morning temperatures allow moisture and snow on roads, bridges and overpasses to freeze tonight.
Here are campus updates currently:
- All regular weekend bus routes except for the Weekend Circulator route are running according to regular schedules. Road conditions will continue to be monitored throughout the evening with every effort being made to keep the C1 route operating. Check Duke TransLoc for real-time service updates this evening and on Monday morning.
- For details about the status of clinics, visit the Duke Health website.
- All Campus Stores except the Duke North Gift Shop and the Bryan University Center Lobby Shop will be closed Monday because of the winter weather. The Duke North Gift Shop and Bryan University Center Lobby Shop both will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. See more information here.
- Study spaces in Rubenstein and von der Heyden will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (card access only). All other library spaces will be closed on Monday. See hours for details.
- Wilson and Brodie recreation facilities will be open from 9-11 a.m. on Monday. Check the Duke Rec website for updates tonight and on Monday.
- Duke University Chapel will be closed all day on Monday.
- Duke Gardens is closed until further notice due to the impacts of inclement winter weather.
