The Severe Weather and Emergency Conditions policy will end at noon today. The Winter Weather Advisory expires at noon today and temperatures are expected to rise above freezing this afternoon.
Facilities crews and contractors have been working overnight and will be working continuously today to clear parking lots and walkways on campus. Icy spots and black ice may form overnight as temperatures are expected to drop below freezing again. Individuals are strongly encouraged to continue using priority roads, lots, and walkways this afternoon and Monday morning for the safest routes of travel. Please refer to the Snow and Ice Priority Clearing Map on the DukeALERT website. Duke community members who see hazardous or dangerous icy spots during severe weather may call Facilities at 919-660-4280.
The Duke Women’s Basketball game at 3 p.m. in Cameron Indoor Stadium will continue as scheduled. Duke’s busing operation will resume normal routes and schedules this afternoon. However, several events and activities on campus today have previously been canceled, including the Duke Performances concert with Thymos Quartet and Christoph Eschenbach and worship services for Duke Chapel.
